Role - Legal Secretary (Maternity Cover)
Location: Aberdeen
Contract: Fixed Term Contract
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:15 PM, including a 1 hour and 15 minute lunch break.
Duration: Approx. 9 months
Salary: £26400 p/a
Overview:
Our well-established client, a legal practice is currently looking for an efficient Legal Secretary to join their Court Department in Aberdeen on a maternity cover basis. This role will primarily support solicitors working in Family Law and Civil Litigation, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and process a variety of legal documents and forms, including through case management systems and legal databases.
- Provide accurate audio and copy typing support.
- Maintain and coordinate busy diaries, scheduling meetings and court appearances.
- Liaise professionally with clients and external parties, maintaining confidentiality and a client-focused approach.
- Manage documentation, including filing (electronic and paper) and archiving.
- Assist with basic financial tasks, including fee typing and handling cash-related processes.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a high standard of accuracy in typing and documentation.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
